I started my Painting apprenticeship back in 2000 and have now been painting and running Mr Bristles for 21 years and I'm still loving my work. I am grateful to have a job where I can see my work displayed every week and really enjoy seeing the way my work contributes to making peoples homes feel more refreshed. Nothing beats a fresh coat of paint and the happy look on our clients face when we achieve the desired outcome.
What's better than waking up each day, doing something I love with family by my side. I am looking forward to seeing if my own boys take a liking to the industry and follow on to a 3rd generation of Mr. Bristles.

I  have  been  a  qualified painter  spanning over  40+  years with experience gained with both commercial and residential painting .
Over the years I have taken a liking to the technical skill involved in painting - from working with timbers and different stains to  creating new inviting spaces helping clients choose their colours and how to best showcase their home.
Working alongside my son Matt is something that makes me excited to wake up everyday and go to work and seeing what we can create together as a family and for our clients.

If you happen to have Matt and Andrew working for you what should you expect?
60 years combined industry experience and a lot of laughter.
Matt will likely do most of the talking with Andrew the more laid back, relaxed half of the duo.A regular day onsite looks a little like this. Don't be surprised if they are painting one of your rooms and you hear the two of them having a laugh as they both enjoy a happy, light-hearted work environment.
Together this father and son team take a lot of pride in their craft,  wont say no to a cup of coffee and enjoy each time at each job as much as the next.
